Real Simple Magazine had their 6th Annual Show House this past year. LH.Designs was chosen as 1 of 6 design firms to be a part of their spectacular project. The Penthouse was in Brooklyn, New York in the new building Quay Towers with Serhant New Development. At 2,789 sq. ft., this $8,500,000 property boasted city views for miles.

We were tasked with the terrace and landing area. We wanted the rooftop to feel inviting and have the same kind of feeling as the interiors of the home. We created a living room, dining room, kitchen, lounge, reading spot, and chill area so that there was purpose in every inch of the L-Shaped outdoor area. We created custom shelving for the BBQ countertops to house dinner and glassware for cooking. And, we also custom designed plant holders for the side walls to have flowers in them for décor or to grow herbs in for those chefs who like fresh spices.

For the landing area, we created a bar closet to house liquors and glasses so as to not have any issues with the elements outside. We added a pop of soft colors with a wallpaper and paint to give the bar area a fun surprise. And, we did a large gallery wall with great art to give the stairs more "Wow" factory when walking by.

After we designed and laid out the spaces, we worked with great vendors to help bring the vision to life with custom pieces, fixtures, furniture, plants, paints, wallpaper and accessories. We brought some Cali living into this modern space and infused luxe along with warmth to create an easy, comfortable indoor/outdoor atmosphere at Penthouse1C. As always, we created an entire home outside for the homeowners to enjoy. When you have 180 degree view of New York City in Dumbo, Brooklyn, you have to definitely take advantage of the gorgeous scenery.
